MEETING NOTICE - Missouri River/Lewis and Clark ANS Workshop

After hearing back from only a handful of you regarding dates for the March workshop in Pierre, we’ve decided to go ahead and schedule the meeting for the afternoon of March 11 and morning of March 12. I hope this schedule gives everyone enough travel time on both ends of the meeting so that you’ll only have to stay one night. Not that there is anything wrong with spending time in Pierre, it’s just that I want to be as considerate as possible about your already over-loaded work schedules.

The workshop will be held at the Best Western Ramkota Inn, River Convention Center in Pierre, South Dakota. Jeff Shearer has been kind enough to reserve a meeting room for us and has provided the attached map and directions along with a list of nearby hotels, with their phone numbers and rates. I hope you will make your room reservations as soon as possible.

I have also attached a copy of the tentative workshop agenda prepared by Bill Zook. As you can see, we will have a lot of ground to cover, so please take a little time to review the topics we will be addressing and get back to Bill bjzook2@msn.com if you want to make any changes. We will spend some time at the beginning of the workshop to review the agenda, but we all need to be as clear as possible on the objectives of the workshop at the earliest possible date. Please notice that the agenda will rely heavily on your participation and will require that you do some research prior to attending.

Please let me know as soon as you can if you plan to attend. stephen_phillips@psmfc.org I’d like to have a pretty firm idea who and how many will be attending. If you can not make the workshop, please consider sending an alternate in you place. We need as much participation as we can, so that we can find agreement on a set of actions for the fast approaching boating season.
